Camden
Harbor |
Our guests enjoy Camden harbor, where the mountains meet the sea. They also like day trips to Acadia National Park, Freeport (LL BEAN and factory outlets), Lincolnville Beach (a sand beach nearby) and Camden Hills State Park where there are many hiking paths in the mountains. There are canoeing and kayaking opportunities in the lakes and in the ocean. Day sailing rides on windjammers (commercial schooners of a bygone era) are available in Camden and Rockport. There are many art shops, antique shops and art museums including the Farnsworth Museum (home of many of the Wyeth paintings) and many very nice gift shops.
